Ajay Nehra, M.D.

Ajay Nehra, MD, is a Professor of Urology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and a Consultant in the Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.

Ajay Nehra earned his medical degree at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, in 1982. He subsequently completed his urologic training at the Boston University School of Medicine, and Maimonides Medical Center, New York. In 1993, he was awarded an AUA AFUD Dornier Scholar and completed an AFUD fellowship at the Boston University School of Medicine. Subsequently he has been at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine where currently he has been a professor of Urology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and a consultant in the Department of Urology.

He has published greater than 150 manuscripts in both national and international journals and has contributed numerous chapters to several internationally renowned textbooks in urology. He is an active member in greater than 10 international scientific societies and currently is the president elect of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and the secretary of the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons.

He has been recognized for his contributions in the field and has received numerous awards and recognitions. His principal fields of interest continue to be in the arena of men's health and reconstructive urology.
