Too Much Endurance Exercise Might Not Be Not Good for Male Libido

“Clinicians who treat male patients for sexual disorders or counsel couples on infertility issues should consider the degree of endurance exercise training a man is performing as a potential complicating factor,” the authors wrote.

These findings do not mean that men should stop exercising if they start losing interest in sex. There are many factors that can contribute to low libido, including relationship problems and declining testosterone levels. It’s important for men to have a thorough checkup with a doctor.

Generally, exercise is good for sexual health, as it helps with blood flow, weight management, depression, and self-esteem. In addition, men who exercise regularly are less likely to develop erectile dysfunction (ED).

The study was published online ahead of print in February in the journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.
