Fellowship Overview
The Department of Urology at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga College of Medicine offers a comprehensive one-year fellowship in Men’s Health and Prosthetic Urology. This advanced training program is focused on the clinical and surgical management of benign male urologic conditions, including erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, prostate cancer survivorship, hypogonadism, chronic orchialgia, and male infertility. The fellowship emphasizes proficiency in a broad range of advanced surgical procedures detailed below.
Throughout the year, fellows will participate in clinical and operative activities alongside Men’s Health surgical faculty (Drs. Shridharani and Matz) and the current urology residents. The weekly schedule includes three days in the operating room, one day in clinic, and 0.5 to one day dedicated to research and administrative duties. Active participation in local grand rounds and resident didactics is required. A strong interest in education is encouraged, as teaching is a key component of the fellowship experience.
Fellows will also take part in a 1:8 faculty call rotation. Compensation is commensurate with the fellow’s clinical responsibilities, including call coverage.
