Committees
Nominating
The Nominating Committee's primary function is to identify and cultivate future leaders within the SMSNA and manage the process of filling open positions on the Board of Directors. The committee ensures a strong pipeline of leadership in sexual medicine by anticipating turnover and maintaining a pool of potential candidates. Key responsibilities include identifying, reviewing, vetting, and recommending a slate of candidates for each open office and director position, adhering to the Nominating Policy. Additionally, the committee develops strategies for leadership development within the SMSNA, collaborating with other committees like Medical Students and Residents, Fellowship Program, and Young Clinicians to nurture future leaders.
